Christians Praying For America

If You Don't Pray, Don't Complain!!!

Someone has said that if Christians really understood the full extent of the power we have available through prayer we might be speechless. In W.W.II there was an advisor to Churchill who organized a group of people who dropped what they were doing every day at a prescribed hour for one minute to collectively pray for the safety of England, its people and peace.

There is now a group of people organizing the same thing here in America. If you would like to participate, every evening at 9:00 pm Eastern Time (8:00 pm Central)(7:00 pm Mountain)(6:00 pm Pacific)(5:00 pm Alaskan)(4:00 pm Aleutians)(3:00 pm Hawaiin), stop whatever you are doing and spend one minute praying for the safety of the United States, our troops, our citizens, our president and for peace in the world. Prayer does make a difference!

Our prayers are the most powerful asset we have. Together, we "CAN" make a difference! Thank You, and God Bless America! Please say the following prayer at the time appropriate to your time zone every day! If you can't pray at this specific time, please at least say it at least once a day for America!

Prayer For America

Eternal Father, we beg Your blessing on America for the Right to Life, the Unborn, the weak, the sick and the old; all who are finding themselves being targets of the vicious culture of death; that our Lord Jesus bless and protect all who stand up for the Christian dignity of persons. Please change the hearts of our nation's leaders so that they may see the grave errors they are making and bring back our nation founded under Christian principles back to You. Please protect our military men and women who are fighting wars in many places where many times are not in the this country's interest! Please bring them home soon! Help us to turn from the national sins that were also those of Sodom and Gomorrah and of abortion and euthanasia, and return us once again to be a Christian nation, on the narrow road, that is, the path to becoming a nation and culture, under You, dear God! Amen.

George Washinton at Prayer

George Washington prayed all the time during the Revolutionary War when many times things looked hopeless. Yet he prayed with hope against all hope and his prayers were answered. We now live in times of another revolution, a spiritual revolution. Just like the war in heaven when Lucifer said, "I will not serve," many in our government and in liberal America are saying same thing. Many think you can take weapons and take our country back but unless you become a child of God in prayer, you will do nothing! George Washington knew this very well! George Washington, General of original 13 colonies and First President of the United States, was a witness for Jesus Christ and a good example to his soldiers, his countrymen and all future generations of Americans! Pray For America!!!

The American Dead From All Wars

Let us pray that those who have given the ultimate sacrifice for their country (U.S.A.) in past and present wars will not have given it in vain for selfish people who do not care about our country or our Constitution in which our Founding Fathers had envisioned. Their self-sacrifice was paid for the good of all Americans! The only way we can take it back is be good Christians and Americans! Pray For America!!!

"Remember My Sufferings and I will remember yours!"

In remembering Christ's sufferings we are closer to Him and we become better Christians. When we really believe in Him, we feel Him with us always and we sin much less! In remembering His sufferings He makes our sufferings lighter and helps us more in our needs! Let us remember His sufferings He has made for us for our salvation and petition to Him the needs of our America! Pray for America!!! (There are four ways I find helpful to help me ponder on His sufferings, 1) Watching the Passion by Mel Gibson; 2) Saying the Sorrowful Mysteries of the Rosary; 3) Doing the Stations of the Cross; 4) Praying the St. Bridget Prayers.

Please stand up for America and say you will say a prayer for America every day at the time in your time zone by clicking the email graphic below and I will add your name to the table below to show you stand for God and America! Please state your first name and last (initial of last name is ok) and two initials of your state! (Remember we all are human and sometimes we forget the time. God knows this and if you forget at that time still say it as soon as you remember. Remember you are either part of the problem or part of the solution! If you say a prayer for your country you become a part of the solution!)

God Bless America!

Patroness of United States of America
(Painting of Immaculate Conception in Basilica)

Basilica of Immaculate Conception, Washington, DC

In the 1800s, devotion to Mary grew so rapidly that in 1846, the bishops asked that the Blessed Virgin, in her manifestation as the Immaculate Conception, be named Patroness of the United States of America. The decree was confirmed by Pope Pius IX in 1847, and in 1854, the Immaculate Conception of Mary, born without Original Sin, was proclaimed a dogma of the Church. Subsequently, the apparitions of Our Lady at Lourdes, France, in 1858, further encouraged devotion to the Immaculate Conception.

Since Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception is the Patroness of the United States, I believe God will not let the good American people down.

Prayer of Consecration

Most Holy Trinity: Our Father in Heaven,
who chose Mary as the fairest of your daughters;
Holy Spirit, who chose Mary as your spouse;
God the Son, who chose Mary as your Mother;
in union with Mary, we adore your majesty
and acknowledge your supreme,
eternal dominion and authority.

Most Holy Trinity, we put the United States of America
into the hands of Mary Immaculate
in order that she may present the country to you.
Through her we wish to thank you
for the great resources of this land
and for the freedom which has been its heritage.

Through the intercession of Mary,
have mercy on the Catholic Church of America.
Grant us peace.
Have mercy on our President
and on all the officers of our government.
Grant us a fruitful economy born of justice and charity.
Have mercy on capital and industry and labor.
Protect the family life of the nation.
Guard the innocence of our children.
Grant the precious gift of many religious vocations.
Through the intercession of our Mother,
have mercy on the sick, the poor, the tempted,
sinners - on all who are in need.

Mary, Immaculate Virgin, Our Mother,
Patroness of our land,
we praise you and honor you and give ourselves to you.
Protect us from every harm.
Pray for us, that acting always according to your will
and the Will of your Divine Son,
we may live and die pleasing to God. Amen.

Our Lady of America

Introduction

A movement of great consequence has commenced for a definite response by the United States Catholic Bishops in response to private revelations which long ago received official Church recognition as having occurred in the United States. The revelations included apparitions of Our Lord and St. Joseph as well as St. Gabriel and St. Michael, as well as apparitions of The Blessed Virgin Mary as "Our Lady of America" to Sister Mary Ephrem (Mildred Neuzil), of the Precious Blood Sisters (1933-1979) who was later a Contemplative of the Indwelling Trinity (1979 - until death) . Sister Mary Ephrem, deceased on January 10th, 2000, said she was asked by The Blessed Virgin Mary to draw a picture according to the vision of Our Lady of America and have a statue constructed accordingly and placed after a solemn procession into the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception, in Washington, D.C.. The Blessed Virgin Mary wishes to be honored in the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception at Washington D.C. as Our Lady of America. Our Lady says that if this is done, the United States of America would turn back toward morality and the shrine would become a place of "wonders."

The Blessed Virgin Mary told Sister Mary Ephrem, "I am Our Lady of America," said The Blessed Virgin. "I desire that my children honor me, especially by the purity of their lives." At times light twinkled from Mary's hair, wrote Sister Mary Ephrem, and seemed to radiate from within her. Our Lady promised that greater miracles than those granted at Lourdes and Fatima would be granted here in America, the United States in particular, if we do as She desires. Sister Mary Ephrem stated that Our Lady called herself Our Lady of America in response to the love and desire that reached out for this special title in the hearts of her children in America. "Weep, then, dear children, weep with your mother over the sins of men," said Mary. "Intercede with me before the throne of mercy, for sin is overwhelming the world and punishment is not far away." "It is the darkest hour, but if men will come to me, my Immaculate heart will make it bright again with the mercy which my Son will rain down through my hands. Help me save those who will not save themselves. Help me bring once again the sunshine of God's peace upon the world."

"If my desires are not fulfilled much suffering will come to this land. My faithful one, if my warnings are taken seriously and enough of my children strive constantly and faithfully to renew and reform themselves in their inward and outward lives, then there will be no nuclear war. What happens to the world depends upon those who live in it. There must be much more good than evil prevailing in order to prevent the holocaust that is so near approaching. Yet I tell you, my daughter, even should such a destruction happen because there were not enough souls who took my warning seriously, there will remain a remnant, untouched by the chaos who, having been faithful in following me and spreading my warnings, will gradually inhabit the earth again with their dedicated and holy lives."

The Blessed Virgin Mary has promised that her statue as Our Lady of America once placed in the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception would be a safeguard for our country, and her picture or statue honored in all homes, a safeguard for the family. She also promised that the medal would be a safeguard against evil for those who wear it with great faith and devotion.

(Note: I believe in this apparition and I ask every Catholic that reads it to please go to the link below to the Our Lady of America webpage and read all about the apparitions and if after you read it and believe in it as I do, please write or call your local Bishop and tell him you want the statue in the Basilica in Washington DC. We must do as Our Lady asks! -- Bill)

Prayer to Our Lady of America
Patroness of our Land

(Written at the behest of Our Lady, October 5, 1956 by Sister Mary Ephrem)

Oh Immaculate Mother, Queen of our country, open our hearts, our homes, and our land to the coming of Jesus, your Divine Son. With Him, reign over us, O heavenly Lady, so pure and so bright with the radiance of Gods light shinning in and about you. Be our leader against the powers of evil set upon wresting the world of souls, redeemed at such a great cost by the sufferings of your Son and of yourself, in union with Him, from that same Savior, Who loves us with infinite charity.

We gather about you, O chaste and holy Mother, Virgin Immaculate, Patroness of our beloved Land, determined to fight under your banner of holy purity against the wickedness that would make all the world an abyss of evil, without God and without your loving maternal care.

We consecrate our hearts, our homes, our Land to your Most Pure Heart, O great Queen, that the kingdom of your Son, our Redeemer and our God, may be firmly established in us.

We ask no special sign of you, sweet Mother, for we believe in your great love for us, and we place in you our entire confidence. We promise to honor you by faith, love, and the purity of our lives according to your desire.

Reign over us, then, O Virgin Immaculate, with your Son Jesus Christ. May His Divine Heart and your most chaste Heart be ever enthroned and glorified among us. Use us, your children of America, as your instruments of peace among men and nations. Work your miracle of grace in us, so that we may be a glory to the Blessed Trinity, Who created, redeemed, and sanctifies us.

May your valiant spouse, St. Joseph, with the holy Angels and Saint, assist you and us in "renewing the face of the earth." Then when our work is over, come, Holy Immaculate Mother, and as our Victorious Queen, lead us to the eternal kingdom, where your Son reigns forever as King. Amen
(Indulgence: 200 days)
