Tsunami Christmas Miracle

"But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you." Matthew 6:33

God Protects His People from Tsunami

We already knew how the dreadful earthquake and tsunami ruined and destroyed the city of Meulaboh in Aceh province of North Sumatera flat unto the ground. But there was a wonderful testimony from the city of Meulaboh where there were about 400 Christian people.

On December 25, 2004 they wanted to celebrate Christmas in the city, but the Moslem authorities did not allow them to do it. They were told, "If you Christians want to celebrate Christmas, you must do it outside the city in a remote part of a mountain area!" Due to the great desire to hold a special worship service to celebrate the coming of the Savior, the 400 believers decided to go to a retreat in the mountains outside the city. After finishing the celebration, because the day was already dark, they decided to spend the night in the mountains. Then what happened?

As we already all know that the next morning, very early on December 26, 2004 a dreadful earthquake and an enormous high tide of tsunami ruined and destroyed the city of Meulaboh where many were killed by the tsunami. Meulaboh city was made flat to the ground and all of the houses and buildings were washed away. But all of the Christians who went to the worship service in the mountains were safe. They were not touched by the tsunami at all!

Some Moslems of Meulaboh who were rescued from the disaster even said: "The God of the Christians has punished us, because we have been rude and not kind to them." Some even said, "Why did so many of our people die but none of the Christians died?"

If those 400 Christians in the city of Meulaboh insisted to hold their Christmas celebration inside the city instead of going to the mountain, many of them would have died also. But because of their humbleness of heart and mind, even though forbidden to celebrate Christmas in the city, they were not angry or furious. In their humbleness they obeyed the local law and celebrated Christmas in the mountains without realizing that the tsunami was about to come.

The result is all of them were safe and they saw this as the wonderful work of Jesus Christ. Let us as the children of the Light not take any revenge because the revenge belongs to God (Romans 12:19-21).

We have confirmed the story via phone and email with Bill Hekman and through an Indonesian pastor who has heard the story from several persons with firsthand knowledge, as follows:

This is the account from the believers in Meulaboh. The 400 believers involved are from the Roman Catholic Church, GPIB Church and HKPB Church. They had requested permission from the District Leader (Camat), Police (POLRES) and DANDIM (Army) to celebrate Christmas in Meulaboh. They were told that since Meulaboh is under Sharia Islamic law it would be better to go somewhere where there are no Moslems. So the believers left the morning of Dec. 25th and walked about 5 kms to a hill area. They were accompanied by some members of the Marine Corps who were also Christians. They celebrated Christmas the afternoon of Dec. 25th and stayed there for the night at a retreat. They had brought food and other necessities to camp there for the night. The tsunami took place the morning of the 26th of Dec.

Tsunami Elephants
by Rob Solarion

From the unbelievable chaos of the Tsunami disaster comes an incredible tale from Jim France of the Pavilion Hotel Group in Bangkok. At a resort on Phuket, one of the most popular attractions is (was) elephant rides.

As many as eight people on one elephant, first into the surrounding forest, then down to the beach, to lunch at a fresh water lagoon, then back to the hotel.

The elephants (nine) were kept chained to in-ground posts, not because they needed to be, but because it made the mothers feel better because their children seemed safe from a tromping when feeding the beasts.

About twenty minutes before the first wave hit, the elephants became extremely agitated and unruly. Four had just returned from a trip and their handlers had not yet chained them. They helped the other five tear free from their chains. They all then climbed a hill and started bellowing.

Many people followed them up the hill. Then the waves hit.

After the waves subsided, the elephants charged down from the hill, and started picking up children with their trunks and running them back up the hill; when all the children were taken care of, they started helping the adults. They rescued forty- two people. Then, they returned to the beach and carried up four dead bodies, one of a child.

Not until the task was done would they allow their handlers to mount them. Then with handlers atop, they began moving wreckage. Many Super-Human and Super-Sentient capacities were being exhibited through these Wonderful Elephant Beings including Divine Love for one another and their fellow humans through the transitions they were going through.

For me, this is another sign that we will eventually awaken to recognizing the animals as our companions and conscious co-creators of life on earth, instead of beasts of burden, food and clothing.
